Esta pareja se conoció en julio de 2018 cuando Dips estaba visitando Canadá para la boda de sus primos. Deseaba realizar una excursión por las maravillosas tierras de Ontario, así que entró en una aplicación muy conocida para ver quién quería acompañarle. Fue ahí donde apareció este hombre alto y guapo que dijo «Amo las excursiones». Sin pensarlo dos veces, ambos chicos comenzaron su excursión por «Blue Mountains» y tras detenerse en un puente colgante con vistas a la bahía de Georgia, voltearon a verse el uno al otro y entonces Ravi besó a Dips. Tras ese día lleno de química no tardaron mucho en volver a salir juntos pues el día siguiente y por la noche en el centro de #TorontoLGBT pasaron la noche juntos después de varias copas. Este acontecimiento sin lugar a duda les hizo darse cuenta de que se entendían y coincidían en lo que ambos querían para sus vidas dando lugar a que empezaran a sentir algo más que una atracción física.
Dips volvió a UK después de su viaje por Canadá y quedo sorprendido al ver que Ravi lo visitaba todos los fines de semana durante 2 meses pues se encontraba en una gira por Europa. Tiempo suficiente para que su relación creciese y existiera la incertidumbre en el corazón de Dips de saber si esta relación era algo más que un “Hiking Partner”. Fue entonces que, en una celebración del cumpleaños de un amigo, Ravi le dio el “Si” para formalizar su relación.
Menos de un año había transcurrido, pero su amor era más fuerte que nunca y durante el cumpleaños de Dips, Ravi le preparo una sorpresa única y digna de ser envidiada pues llevo a su BF a Venecia, una de las ciudades mas hermosas del mundo. Fue en este día, mientras se encontraban en un crucero privado donde Ravi se arrodillo ante Dips y le propuso matrimonio, quien obviamente no pudo negarse a decirle que sí. Después de mudarse a Canadá para estar con él, Dips pensó que era injusto que sólo uno de ellos tuviera un anillo de compromiso adecuado, así que le llevo al lugar donde se besaron por primera vez en ese puente colgante para su aniversario y le sorprendió con una propuesta.
Hicieron su compromiso en México unos días antes de la boda en el Hotel Hard Rock de Riviera Maya pues buscaban una boda que conservara la cultura india, pero integrando a esta la historia y la belleza de la cultura maya. El compromiso fue una fiesta blanca, en la que se reunieron familiares y amigos y en la que se intercambiaron los anillos de compromiso y se entregaron regalos por ambas partes. Fue una ceremonia que abrazan tanto la cultura hindú como la sij. Un día inolvidable donde al ver a sus familias abrazar a esta parte de la comunidad #2SLGBTQIA+ lleno de alegría a los chicos. Finalmente bailaron todos hasta que el personal del complejo les solicito que se fueran.
Indudablemente la historia de estos chicos nos deja en claro que el amor no entiende de tiempo. Cuando llega, llega, no importa que conozcas a esa persona desde hace 5 años o de un solo cruce de miradas. Porque el amor simplemente no se puede medir con nada.
This couple met in July 2018 when Dips was visiting Canada for his cousins’ wedding. He wanted to hike through the wonderful lands of Ontario, so he went on a well-known app to see who wanted to join him. It was there that this tall, handsome man appeared who said «I love hiking». Without a second thought, both guys started their hike through the Blue Mountains and after stopping at a suspension bridge overlooking Georgian Bay, they turned to look at each other and then Ravi kissed Dips. After that chemistry-filled day it didn’t take long for them to get back together as the next day and evening in downtown of Toronto they spent the night together after several drinks. This event undoubtedly made them realize that they understood each other and agreed on what they both wanted for their lives resulting in them starting to feel more than just a physical attraction.
Dips returned to #UK after his trip to Canada and was surprised to see Ravi visiting him every weekend for 2 months as he was on tour in Europe. Long enough for their relationship to grow and there was uncertainty in Dips’ heart to know if this relationship was more than just a «Hiking Partner». It was then that, at a friend’s birthday celebration, Ravi gave him the «Yes» to formalize their relationship.
Less than a year had passed, but their love was stronger than ever and during Dips’ birthday, Ravi prepared a unique and enviable surprise for him as he took his BF to Venice, one of the most beautiful cities in the world. It was on this day, while they were on a private cruise where Ravi got down on one knee in front of Dips and proposed to him, who obviously couldn’t refuse to say yes. After moving to Canada to be with him, Dips thought it was unfair that only one of them had a proper engagement ring, so he took him to the place where they first kissed on that suspension bridge for their anniversary and surprised him with a proposal.
They made their engagement in Mexico a few days before the wedding at the Hard Rock Hotel in Riviera Maya as they were looking for a wedding that preserved the Indian culture, but integrated the history and beauty of the Mayan culture into it. The engagement was a white party, where family and friends gathered and where engagement rings were exchanged and gifts were given by both sides. It was a ceremony that embraced both Hindu and Sikh cultures. An unforgettable day where seeing their families embrace this part of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community filled the couple with joy. Finally they all danced until the resort staff asked them to leave.
Undoubtedly the story of these guys makes it clear that love knows no time. When it comes, it comes, no matter if you’ve known that person for 5 years or from a single glance. Because love simply cannot be measured with anything.
